Commercials are like puzzles – all of the pieces must fit together to create a pretty picture. You have a goal: to sell something, raise brand awareness, persuade viewers to act. You have a medium with which you must reach that goal: video promos, poster design, copywriting. And you have a narrative: sometimes a client already has a message s/he wants to communicate, sometimes that message needs to be delineated, and sometimes we must start from scratch.
